Sustainable energy development analysis: Energy Trilemma

Sustainable development is perceived as a socioeconomic system focused on meeting human needs while making long-term progress, with the end goal of ensuring well-being and improving quality life. The objective this article to analyse sustainable policies assessed by World Energy Trilemma Index (WETI) for 2020, based its three pillars (Energy security, equity Environmental sustainability) political economic context 128 countries. To that end, cluster analysis contingency tables are used. first these methods allows us determine whether nations' profile influences their energy development, latter method used establish possible connection between different aspects development. results reveal existence homogeneous groups countries, showing economies lowest GDP growth highest incomes hold top positions in WETI ranking. However, association not clear when analysing trilemma separately, pointing need more in-depth examination each one. confirm Country countries assigned better grade adopt appropriate measures. research reveals leaders’ active engagement implementation international agreements climate change, thus facilitating path towards
